Being a small business owner is an adventure, learning opportunity and a frustration all at once. I get to create; problem solve and partner with my customers and community. Since returning to Virginia in 2022, I have invested more time and resources in growing as an entrepreneur and founder. The Shenandoah Community Capital Fund (SCCF) has played a critical role in that process with their Business Bootcamp and Capacitor Incubator programs. Formal classes and a business mentor have both filled in process blanks that I knew I had but as we say, “You don’t know what you don’t know”. These experiences have also caused me to be linked with fellow founders on this road which can sometimes be lonely. Thanks to everyone there and my business owner buddies in the Staunton, Augusta County, Waynesboro and Harrisonburg areas, I get to receive support and give support to likeminded peers.

As I share this journey with you, you may notice a variety of topics which go beyond Simone & Tuesday’s natural products. I have accepted that I am not typical, but that’s okay with me.

I had Google Gemini create this image which shows many of the things that I love. What I share is an invitation to learn, grow and enjoy all of the good, pure, and lovely things around us.

An AI generated heart which shows my love for a variety of things. Gardening, travel, music and singing, baking and learning are all included.
